“Media Sales” is defined as “selling advertising airtime or space (on or in) cable, digital, internet, outdoor, publications, radio and television”. In 2000, The Media Sales Institute program was initially designed for recent college graduates who were passionately interested in pursuing a career in media sales. In 2016, the program launched the first institute open to Military Personnel (Post 9/11), career changers and recent college graduates.
- All Applicants… must complete a 500 word essay answering…Why do you want to start a career in media sales?
- Recent Graduates…minimum 2.8 G.P.A./Proof of Graduation/Two Letters of Recommendation/ Resume (include any sales experience)
- Career Changers… (defined as out of military or college with 5-10 years of work history/Proof of Graduation and or Transferable Certifications/Two letters of Recommendation/ Resume (include any sales experience)
- Military Personnel (Post 9/11) - Honorable Discharge/College Degree or Proof of Transferable Certifications/Two letters of Recommendation/ Resume (include any sales experience)
NOTE: “Accepted” applicants will be awarded a $7200 scholarship to cover the cost of: Tuition, Training Materials, Room & Board; and will be awarded on a rolling basis.
