NABOB is the first and only trade organization representing the interests of African-American owners of radio and television stations across the country. Media Sales Recruiters invest two full days to access the candidates’ sales presentations, critique and hire the pre-qualified candidates selected for the program. Each MSI candidate scenario is based on a …real-world media sales avail. Following the presentations, each media company has a private "meet and greet" room to spend quality time with each candidate. In addition to the private meet and greets, the media companies also have the opportunity to have lunch with the candidates. The Media Sales Institute (MSI) would not be possible without the generous contribution of time and energy from media executives, in the industry today.

Jovanni Railey

MSI is one of the best professional experiences that I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. Being a career changer, MSI entered my life in such a pivotal moment where I was evolving from having a job to pursuing a career. What is so unique about this institute is that it is so genuine and everyone that you encounter is there for your benefit. At times I was overwhelmed about the generosity that was present. I came into the institute knowing I wanted to work in media, but I left knowing how to create a career path that fit my purpose, an amazing personal and professional network, and a great foundation for a career that I love. MSI taught me so much about the media sales business and even more about how to navigate my career so that it can align with my dreams. I am so grateful to now be a part of the MSI family, and can’t wait to see how much the institute flourishes in the future.
